Question
#1
What is FireAcad and what can it do?Answer to #1
FireAcad is available for
AutoCadŽ 2004, AutoCadŽ 2005, AutoCadŽ 2006, AutoCadŽ 2007,and AutoCadŽ
2008 under Windows XP , Windows Vista and Windows 2003 operating
systems in English and German languages. FireAcad is one of the very few programs which utilizes a true
3D environment. At the same time FireAcad allows the user the choice of viewing
the screen in plan view or 3D while still working. FireAcad will calculate
the proper length of piping and allow for head loss for a sloped roof
while drawing FireAcad has its own built in Windows hydraulic
calculation program that can also be used as a standalone calculation program
FireAcad has its own built in automatic material listing program
FireAcad doesn't need to quit AutoCadŽ to use the hydraulic
calculations. FireAcad's ceiling tile layout can be pre-set or
customized for ANY layout at any starting point using any type of ceiling
FireAcad lets the end user easily change the pricing of the
material or add in new material for material listing purposes
FireAcad has fully usable metric and imperial drawing capabilities,
allowing the user to switch between the two formats at any time throughout
the drawing with complete accuracy. FireAcad's 3-Dimensional
capabilities are second to none in the Fire Protection Design Software
Industry. FireAcad gives the designer
an accurate detail of what is being drawn at any given time. The 3D view
is active, therefore the user can work in both 3D and plan view. You can
also use the view ports command to have one section of your screen in plan
view, and the other in 3D.

out automatically.
Hydraulic
Problem #4
Pump cannot deliver discharge.
Solution:
-- Pump is not big enough.
-- The ' Calc Head ' command cannot be
done with a reservoir and a pump combined together.
-- Ensure that the node number for the
supply node is a large number than the node number for the pump. ( i.e. If the node number that is
feeding the pump is 30, the node number for the supply node must be at least 31. )
-- The safety factor that has been
calculated by the head calculation is high enough that a pump is not
needed.
-- If the safety factor is lower at the
supply, the head calculation will calculate the pump and the city city combined.
-- The beginning node and end node of
pump must be at the same elevation.
-- At least one pipe separated from city
supply or node with different elevation.

The
Error message
"--not in SDEFAULT.DAT or MDEFAULT.DAT file",
comes up in FireReport
Solution:
User
has not updated the
sefault.dat and mdefault.dat, but the user has included a different name
in pipe type information box. User should update with the same
strings as pipe type information box the USER TYPE in FireReport database.
FCAD\LISTING\LIST PREP-WIN\DATABASE\TYPE
